Information and use
The person responsible for your information is identified in Business details. We use contact and business details, questionnaire answers, correspondence and order records to assess requests, prepare and deliver work, handle payments and answer enquiries. We may also use business websites, public listings and public business contact details for research and relevant outreach. Hosting and payment services process technical and transaction information.
Our legal bases are steps towards or performance of a contract with you; legitimate interests in relevant business research, communication, administration and security; and legal obligations for required records. Managing a relationship with a business representative is a legitimate interest. Without the contact and business information needed for a request or order, we may be unable to fulfil it.
Who handles information
We use website hosting and form-submission services, payment processors, business email and file-storage services, and AI tools for research and preparation. Relevant information is processed by these providers to support the service.
Providers may process information outside the UK. Email Ben for the locations and transfer arrangements applicable to your information.
Retention
Enquiry and working information is kept while needed for the request, project, follow-up or resolving issues and legal claims, then deleted or anonymised. Required accounting records are kept for the applicable legal period. Minimal opt-out records are retained to prevent further unwanted contact.
Your data rights
Where applicable, you can ask to see, correct, delete, restrict the use of, or receive a portable copy of your personal information. For requests or concerns about your data, email ben@acommonground.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
You can object to use based on legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time.
